Help it’s a Goril lil lil lil a…. Comedian/Talk Show Host Sheryl Underwood, who is known to be outrageously funny, has a few Black women and people for that matter, up in arms. On the CBS’ The Talk, where she shares hosting duties alongside Sharon Osbourne and Aisha Tyler, Sheryl made a reference to “Afro Hair” as being nappy and beaded while depicting “White Hair” as silky and beautiful.

The comment was said in jest as the ladies where discussing Heidi Klum’s decision to save her children’s “Afro Hair” when she cuts their hair. Sheryl also said it would seem “nasty” to save the hair. Some people are objecting to Sheryl’s comments saying it demeans black heritage and culture and aids in the mental enslavement of African Americans.

Although it was a joke, for her to say it on such a national platform has some people really pissed at her. Here a few comments from the video.
“She is a joke who cares what she thinks? let her continue to think she is gonna wake up a white woman one day… She is a mess!”
“Sheryl Underwood does not reflect how most black women feel about their hair.

With all of the Natural hair YT videos, Facebook groups, blogs, forums, Tumblrs, Twitter accounts, clothing paraphernalia, new hair care lines, social clubs, Meetups, conferences, I can’t believe people still believe that tripe. The Natural Hair Movement is too big not to notice.”
“BLACK MOTHERS PASS DOWN WHITE SUPREMACY FROM THEMSELVES TO BLACK BABIES FACT! OWN IT, LEARN FROM IT CHANGE IT BLACK WOMEN.”
