A 33-Year-old rapper from Memphis named Fontrell Antonio Baines aka “Nuke Bizzle” will be serving 6 years in prison for filing 92 false EDD claims with the California EDD. He got $704,760 after filing the claims then did a video and song about how he defrauded the system.

In his song titled “EDD,” Baines can be heard saying “I done got rich off of EDD…My swagger for EDD” while holding up a stack of envelopes from the EDD.

He then said he was getting rich by “going to the bank with a stack of these”, referring to the debit cards that he received from the EDD in the mail, according to the Department of Justice.

In addition to the COVID relief fraud, Baines was also found guilty, in separate cases, of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute.
