Phylicia Fant Named VP Media Relations at Universal Motown

Phylicia Fant has been promoted to Vice President of Media Relations for Universal Motown Records, it was announced today by Margeaux Rawson, Senior Vice President of Media Relations for Universal Motown Records.

“Her infectious energy, impressive track record, and event planning expertise make her a tremendous asset to the team.”�

In this new role, Ms. Fant will be responsible for developing and implementing media strategies for Universal Motown’s diverse roster of artists, which includes Lil Wayne, Stevie Wonder, Kelly Rowland , Drake, Erykah Badu, Akon, Kid Cudi, Melanie Fiona, Blue October, Asher Roth, Forever The Sickest Kids, and Nelly, among many others.

“Phylicia has proven herself to be a valued leader in the company by developing innovative and creative media strategies for many of our artists in the realms of print, online, and television,”� said Mrs. Rawson. “Her infectious energy, impressive track record, and event planning expertise make her a tremendous asset to the team.”�

Previously, Ms. Fant was Senior Director of Media Relations for Universal Motown Records. During her tenure at the company, she has coordinated and implemented media strategies for a remarkably versatile mix of artists, including Kelly Rowland , Melanie Fiona, Kid Cudi, Asher Roth, Ryan Leslie, Q-Tip, JoJo, Lindsay Lohan, and Swizz Beatz.
