The documentary includes electrifying never-before-seen material and newly restored footage from their only full-length concert. The film also features remixed music produced by Sean Ono Lennon, making it a groundbreaking and revelatory cinematic experience. The film centers on the One to One benefit concert that John Lennon performed on August 30, 1972, at Madison Square Garden—his first full-length show after leaving The Beatles.

Directed by Kevin Macdonald, this documentary explores the eighteen months leading up to this iconic event, offering insight into their lives and activism during that time. In 1971, John and Yoko had just arrived in the United States, settling into a small Greenwich Village apartment and consuming a vast amount of American television, which helped shape their views.Through a unique blend of American TV moments, including coverage of the Vietnam War, Nixon, and commercials, the film immerses viewers in the cultural climate of the time. It traces John and Yoko’s evolving approach to protest, which ultimately inspired the One to One concert, a direct result of an exposé they saw on TV by journalist Geraldo Rivera.Filmed in a faithful reproduction of their New York apartment, ONE TO ONE: JOHN & YOKO offers a fresh perspective on a pivotal time in the lives of two of the world’s most influential artists.Runtime: 100 minutesIn theaters IMAX® on April 11https://youtu.be/oxagfYjeMV4
