Another day, another lawsuit. This time, Drake, Adin Ross, and Stake are facing serious allegations of illegal gambling and music streaming fraud.

A class action lawsuit has emerged in the U.S. against rapper Drake, popular streamer Adin Ross, and the gambling platform Stake, marking yet another legal challenge for these prominent figures. Filed on January 1, 2026, this lawsuit accuses the defendants of engaging in illegal gambling promotion and manipulating music streaming numbers through a coordinated effort.

The suit claims that Drake, Ross, Stake, and another individual, George Nguyen, utilized Stake’s tipping feature to transfer money amongst themselves. This allegedly resulted in inflated streaming numbers for Drakes music on major digital services. According to the complaint, this scheme involved creating fraudulent streaming figures, misleading music industry executives, and undermining competitors by distorting streaming algorithms.

The plaintiffs, LaShawnna Ridley and Tiffany Hines, assert that Drake knowingly permitted these financial transactions to appear as giveaways that were mostly inaccessible to the public. One example cited in the lawsuit involves an alleged $100,000 tip exchanged between Ross and Drake in 2023, alongside a Drizzmas livestream event where the two allegedly promoted this botting activity.

In a further twist, the lawsuit mentions a $220,000 luxury car that Stake purportedly gifted to Ross just days before the filing. This detail adds another layer to the allegations, highlighting the extravagant nature of the defendants’ dealings.

The case has been filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and seeks $5 million in damages. This latest lawsuit comes on the heels of similar legal challenges faced by Drake in New Mexico and Missouri from the previous year. The plaintiffs’ claims follow Drake’s recent livestream, during which he reportedly distributed a portion of his earnings from Stake.

As the legal proceedings unfold, it remains to be seen how these allegations will impact the careers of those involved and the broader implications for the music and gaming industries.
