With a unique innate flow, Luci is carving her own style unlike any other artist today. Produced once again byWilliam J. Sullivan (Kid Cudi, YE, Rosalia, Paris Texas), the beats effortlessly match her singular vocal prowess to deliver a track that offers an insight into the mind of this incredibly talented individual, and follows up “11:11” and “Martyr” from her debut albumThey Say They Love You.

On the single, Luci proclaims: “4:30 in the morning, struck with inspiration, I opened that folder full of beats sully (William J. Sullivan gifted me back in 2021 after our first session and started sketching. Rif on top of rif til it was all there. When life is moving too fast. When it feels like everything is happening all at once and then there’s this moment of light and freedom where you remind yourself to stay grounded in who you are, what you are, and how much you’re worth even if you’re standing in some dark truth. Remember to give yourself grace and feel the good feelings.” With “11:11” and “Martyr” acquiring acclaim across the breadth of the music media including Nylon, Flood, Consequence, DIY, The Observer, Them and more the heights that LUCI is reaching shows no limits as she readies her next release.

The accompanying video was shot in a rush of adrenaline shoot that saw the team deliver both Spins and “11:11” over the course of two nights, to capture the artist in her zone and element.

She adds:“I just wanted to be captured all at once without losing sight of my performance, whilst doing something a bit more traditional for the culture. For me there’s nothing like a traditional rap video: lookin’ good and feelin’ good doin what they do best on top of great camera work and editing. So sweet and simple and makes you feel at home with the poet.”

The 10-trackThey Say They Love Youwas recorded in Pittsburgh as well as LA, and explores themes of love, loneliness, perseverance amid uncertainty, self-care, and coming of age.

The album includes production from William J Sullivan (Kid Cudi, Kanye West, 070shake, Paris Texas), Louallday (Doja Cat, Tyler The Creator, Outkast, Khelani, Dckwrth), Elias Abid and Edmund Irwinsinger (Glass Animals), and others. She says she wantsThey Say They Love Youto move through the body like mushroom tea. Going down warm but hitting in phases. Touching the body, then the mind then the spirit.
