
Big Broadcasting’s KOKO-FM�in Fresno, California is moving to a new groove following its switch to Rhythmic-oriented�Jammin’ 94.3 FM. The move from Oldies came after 10 straight hours of Bob Marley’s classic “Jammin'” filling the airwaves prior to launching into Tupac and Dr. Dre’s “California Love.”
Jammin’ 94.3 Fresno’s�Old School and Throwbacks’�station features a blend of classic and contemporary R&B from the 70s to the 2000s. The music covers artists such as Usher, Keith Sweat and Beyonc�, and features R&B music that listeners know and love, combined with the very best sounds of today.
Big Broadcasting, Inc. owner and legendary air personality,�Art Laboe’s�syndicated radio program “The Art Laboe Connection” will continue to air Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to midnight and on Sundays from 6 p.m. to midnight on Jammin’ 94.3.
Legendary programmer at the music and imaging helm
The station is being programmed by legendary L.A. programmer,�Mike Marino, who successfully launched the�Old School and Throwbacks�format at KHHT/Los Angeles, KJHM/Denver and KMRJ/Palm Springs.
Mike Marino said, “Our unique blend of old school and R&B throwbacks super serves an adult female audience ignored by other contemporary and gold-based radio stations in the market. Passion levels for this music is off the charts. Fresno will get the ‘feels’ from Jammin.”
Big Broadcasting, Inc. enters into a programming and sales agreement with�Envision Networks�, placing the focus squarely on the production, music and on-air image of Jammin’ 94.3 FM.
