iPower 92.1/104.1 Welcomes Media Queen Dominique Da Diva to Middays
Radio One Richmond, a subsidiary of Urban One Inc., is proud to announce that veteran Urban One on-air personality Dominique Da Diva will take over middays on WCDX-FM – iPower 92.1/104.1FM.
“I’m confident Dominique will be a perfect fit for the Richmond team. She’s an amazing talent with a passion for the culture and I’m excited about what she will bring to middays for WCDX,” says Kashon Powell, Radio One’s VP of Programming.
The proud Richmond native began her career in her hometown, and for over a decade has been heard all over the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Dominique will continue in her current role as co-host of Reach Media’s nationally syndicated The Quicksilva Show and host of her popular podcast, “Diva Unfiltered.” She’s appeared on cable television shows Love and Marriage: DC and TV One’s Unsung.
“I am extremely excited to welcome such a dynamic and engaging talent, in Dominique, to our team,” said Mathew Myers, Operations Manager for Radio One Richmond. “She has made Richmond proud with all of her accomplishments in the entertainment industry, so it’s a slam dunk to bring this star talent’s voice back home.”
Throughout her career, Dominique has continually been successful in every time slot no matter the market and has achieved top ratings at each stop. In addition to a successful radio career, the Media Queen is an honoree of Diddy’s “DeLeon 100 Trailblazer Award 2017,” featured in Billboard Magazine.
“Being back on air in my hometown is such a full circle moment for me,” said Dominique.
She recalled the adversities she faced traveling to Richmond for her radio internship every week as a senior attending Virginia State University, just trying to get her foot in the door.
“Now, thirteen years later, I get to come back and put on for the city in an even bigger way! Thank you, Kashon Powell and Matt Myers, for this amazing opportunity! Dominique Da Diva will take the airwaves starting Monday, April 10th, 2023, starting 10am until 3pm.
