width=One of Gospel music’s most powerful voices, Sheri Jones-Moffett, to sing and record at special concert this weekend in her hometown of Memphis, TN. Fans will be treated to an evening of all-new music produced by Grammy-Award winning producer, Myron Butler. While many associate Jones-Moffett with the widely known hit song “Encourage Yourself,” her sound, wide vocal range and electrifying voice make her one of the top female vocalists in the genre today. The concert is set to take place this Saturday, July 21st at Hope Presbyterian Church, located at 8500 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova, TN 38018. Doors open at 5:00pm and the concert will begin promptly at 6:00pm. The concert is free and seats are still available. Jones-Moffett will team with label-mate Butler for a sure-fire project that brings together his expertise in vocal arrangement and her vocal prowess. The evening will also include appearances by Jones-Moffett’s mentor, Donald Lawrence and performances by surprise special guests that reflect and honor Jones-Moffett’s history through music. Jones-Moffett took to the social networks earlier this year to find her background singers for this exciting night. Back in April she and her team sought out the best singers in the country by holding open auditions where hundreds of hopefuls vied for a chance to sing at the recording. Ten lucky and talented singers were chosen to perform with Sheri on Saturday night. Jones-Moffett’s new project will be released in 2013 on EMI Gospel.
