iHeartmedia (formerly Clear Channel), Fox Sports extend radio network relationship

Enterprises and Premiere Networks have extended their long-time relationship for Fox Sports Radio Network.

It has been 10 years since Fox Sports and Premiere launched Fox Sports Radio. The two companies have renewed their long-term agreement to continue producing and distributing content through Fox Sports Radio in the United States and Canada. The network is also unveiling a new logo and new programming.

Specific terms were not disclosed. Premiere is a radio syndication subsidiary of San Antonio-based iHeartmedia (formerly Clear Channel) Communications Inc. (OTCBB: CCMO).

Fox Sports Radio hosts shows by a number of America’s leading sports personalities including Stephen A. Smith, Dan Patrick, Jim Rome, Matt “Money” Smith and Tony Bruno. Fox Sports Radio is heard on nearly 400 radio station affiliates in the United States and Canada as well as FoxSportsRadio.com, XM Satellite Radio channel 142 and the Armed Forces Radio Network.

Fox Sports Radio has quickly emerged as one of the top assets in our entire portfolio,” says Bill Wanger, senior vice president of programming and research for FOX Sports. “Besides entertaining millions of fans daily, the radio network plays a significant role in promoting the FOX Sports brand and our unmatched calendar of the country’s best sporting events and broadcast talent.”

Fox Sports Television Group has been America’s top-rated sports network for the last 13 years. Fox holds the television rights to Major League Baseball, the National Football League’s NFC games and NASCAR Sprint Cup.
