Sony Music Masterworks announces the signing of vocalist/songwriter Sachal to its OKeh Records imprint. He will release his first album for OKeh, titled Slow Motion Miracles, on March 17, 2015. The new album represents a change in direction for Sachal, who previously recorded three jazz vocal albums under his full name, Sachal Vasandani, for Mack Avenue Records.

Slow Motion Miracles is produced by Michael Leonhart, best known for his work with Steely Dan and its co-founder Michael Fagen. It’s a full set of multilayered gems blended with a variety of styles, including indie pop, electronica, and new-school jazz.”We’re happy to join Sachal on this next very important step in his creative evolution,” said Chuck Mitchell, SVP of Sony Music Masterworks, U.S. “He brings with him fresh songwriting skills, positive energy, and a surprisingly new musical approach, adding yet another set of colors to the rich palette of the OKeh roster.”Sony Masterworks comprises the Masterworks, Sony Classical, OKeh, Portrait, Masterworks Broadway and Flying Buddha imprints.
