 title=It was stated that Motown didn’t believe in Disco and thought it was a fad… however Berry Gordy liked this song enough to give it to Diana Ross. Unfortunately, it was supposed to be the 5th Dimension’s comeback song (Post Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis’ exit) in 1976 and it was released as a single on ABC records flying up the charts when it was interrupted by industry politics (Diana Ross’ newly recorded version) which had the backing.
