Karan Aujla: Rising Punjabi Star with $10 Million Net Worth

Karan Aujla, an Indian singer-songwriter and rapper, boasts a net worth of $10 million. Primarily active in the Punjabi music industry and based in Canada, Aujla has released notable albums including “Bacthafucup,” “Making Memories,” and “P-Pop Culture.” His popular tracks feature hits like “Unity,” “Lafaafe,” “Don’t Worry,” “Jhanjar,” “So Far,” and “Chu Gon Do?”

Born Jaskaran Singh Aujla on January 18, 1997, in Ghurala, Punjab, India, Karan faced significant challenges early in life, losing both parents by age 14. Raised by his sisters and uncle, he moved to Canada in 2014, where he lived with his sister in Vancouver while attending Burnaby South Secondary and working part-time as a longshoreman.

Aujla’s music career began in 2014 as a songwriter, with his first credit on Jassi Gill’s “Range.” He later penned songs for various artists before releasing his debut single as a lead artist, “Property of Punjab,” in 2016. His career skyrocketed in 2018 with the hit “Don’t Worry,” which reached the UK Asian chart and garnered over 100 million views on YouTube.

Continuing his ascent in the 2020s, Aujla’s single “Jhanjar” received over five million views in just 24 hours, followed by other successful tracks like “Red Eyes” and “So Far.” His 2021 studio album, “Bacthafucup,” featured the hit “Chu Gon Do?” and climbed to number 19 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. Subsequent releases included his EPs “Way Ahead” and “Four You,” along with another studio album, “Making Memories,” which peaked at number five on the Canadian Albums chart.

In early 2024, Aujla launched the album “Street Dreams” in collaboration with Mumbai rapper Divine, followed by the EP “Four Me” and singles like “Tauba Tauba”. His 2025 release, “P-Pop Culture,” marked a significant milestone, debuting at number three on the Canadian Albums chart and claiming the top spot on Spotify in India and Pakistan, with two singles achieving Gold certification.

Despite his success, Aujla has faced controversies in India regarding his lyrics and stage conduct, prompting complaints from authorities. In late 2021, he launched his fashion brand, Hukam, and later produced a short film for Apple’s “Up Next” program. In 2023, he married his girlfriend, Palak.
