Roland Martin Suspended for Anti-Gay Super Bowl Tweets

width=This has got to be the most press I have ever seen Roland Martin get, unfortunately, it’s for something negative. His anti gay tweet “If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham’s H&M underwear ad,” Martin Tweeted, “smack the ish out of him” The tweet garnered an immediate backlash from gay organization GLAAD citing Martin was encouraging physical violence against gays. Martin desperately and immediately tried to clean it up even revealing that he himself was bullied and that he has been a champion of blacks who have been mistreated. The organization was not impressed as “blacks” had nothing specifically to do with gay people and his pleas were all in vain. GLAAD wanted him fired from CNN but the network opted to suspend him for now.
