gamma. and Death Row Records announce the 30th anniversary edition LP vinyl of Above The Rim (The Soundtrack), out May 17th. The pre-order for this special configuration is live today in recognition of the 30th anniversary of the original soundtrack release.
This marks the first time the soundtrack will be available on vinyl with its complete 21-song track listing as all previous LP vinyl releases have only contained 18 tracks. With a 2xLP gatefold, this dynamic package holds vinyl in a special variant – yellow with orange and red splatter.
Upon its initial release, Above The Rim (The Soundtrack) sold over 2 million copies and held the #1 spot on the Billboard R&B Albums chart for 10 consecutive weeks. The soundtrack is loaded with songs from epic artists including Tha Dogg Pound featuring Nate Dogg and Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dr. Dre, Warren G, DJ Quik and Al B.

Since the March 2023 inception of the Death Row Records and gamma. partnership, 25 albums and 400 songs have been re-released to all DSPs globally.
