Fayetteville State University Doctoral Students

Current and
former Doctoral Professional Students and advisees of Dr. Noran L. Moffett,
Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and School Administration
at Fayetteville State University (FSU), were selected to present their research
at the Virtual Conference of the Georgia Education Research Association (GERA
is an Affiliate of the American Educational Research Association).

The
peer-reviewed accepted paper presentations will be featured and published as
part of the 2020 GERA Virtual research conference held Friday, October 2, 2020.
The theme for this year’s conference is “The Power and Possibilities for the
Public Good.”

The FSU
faculty member, doctoral candidates, and alumnae include Dr. Noran L. Moffett,
Ms. Naadiya Hopkins (currently serving at FSU in the Office of Student
Engagement), Mr. Jarmel Baxter (currently
serving at FSU in Intramural Sports),
Dr. Letitia P. Johnson-Arnold (currently serving at FSU in Student Health
Services), and Dr. Melissa L. Lyon (currently serving at FSU in the Office of
Civic Engagement and Service Learning).

About the Georgia Educational Research Association (GERA)

This one-day
conference allows members of the Georgia Educational Research Association
(GERA) and their graduate students to share their research and progress as well
as attend and participate in multiple research presentations. The conference
also features the organization’s annual business meeting.

GERA is one of Georgia’s most dynamic research organizations with 150 members representing public and private colleges, schools and educational agencies and institutions. Its membership creates an interdisciplinary network of researchers made up of both professionals and graduate students in education, psychology, statistics, history, political science, and other related fields.
