The music industry’s largest trade event, NAMM 2026, is set to take place in Anaheim, California from January 22 to 24. Among the participating tech giants is Yamaha, which has announced the worldwide launch of its MGX Series digital mixing consoles, URX Series audio interfaces, and CC1 USB controller.
Targeted at musicians, performers, streamers, podcasters, and content creators, the new products promise studio-quality sound and versatile integration for various applications, including live performances, music production, podcasting, and streaming. Attendees at NAMM will have the opportunity to experience interactive demos and detailed product presentations.
Preston Gray, Yamaha’s director of marketing for professional audio, stated, “We’re not interested in adding digital features for their own sake — we’re focused on what truly helps engineers, musicians, and creators deliver great performances.”
Gray further emphasized that the MGX mixers expand the trusted MG family into the digital realm while maintaining a focus on musical, natural sound, user-friendly operation, and the reliability associated with Yamaha consoles. This new lineup, when paired with the new interfaces and controller, provides a dependable ecosystem for performers, streamers, and creators, regardless of the project size or workflow.
The MGX Series fuses digital innovation with Yamaha’s legacy from the MG Series of analog mixers, utilizing advanced digital technology for superior sound and flexibility. Key features include 32-bit/96 kHz audio support, multi-channel streaming capabilities, and HDMI-USB video/audio interfaces on select models.
The URX Series promises best-in-class audio performance with 32-bit/192 kHz support, ultra-low noise levels, and integrated mixing and routing features. The URX44V model enhances this with HDMI-USB video/audio interface capabilities, making it an ideal hub for recording, streaming, and production.
Additionally, Yamaha will showcase the CC1 USB Controller at NAMM. Built for efficient workflows required by creatives, the CC1 features a 100mm motorized, touch-sensitive fader, 12 LCD keys compatible with Elgato’s Stream Deck app, and integration with leading digital audio workstations like Cubase, Nuendo, and Pro Tools. It is designed for music production, live streaming, and hybrid workflows, allowing for precise control and quick adjustments across multiple platforms, including OBS Studio.
Pricing for Yamaha’s MGX Series starts at $799.99, the URX Series begins at $399.99, and the CC1 Controller is priced at $399.99. All three product ranges are currently available through authorized Yamaha dealers.
