YouTube Music Queue Auto-Sync Across Devices

YouTube Music has introduced a feature that synchronizes the song queue across all devices. This allows users to seamlessly continue their music playback when switching from one device to another. For instance, if a user is playing a song on their phone, the same music queue will be available when they switch to a laptop.

Previously, the Now Playing queue on the Android and iOS apps operated independently, limiting the listening experience across multiple devices. Although the web version could access mobile data, it did not provide a fully connected experience.

With the new feature, users will see the last played song on the mini player upon opening the app, along with information indicating the original device used for playback. This information will be removed once the music resumes playing.

The system prioritizes the last playback session to ensure the queue is updated accordingly, maintaining the same song list across devices such as tablets and browsers as on smartphones.

This update enhances user convenience for those utilizing multiple devices. YouTube Music is now better integrated and more responsive across mobile and desktop platforms. The rollout of this feature appears to be gradual, and users are encouraged to ensure their app is up to date to access the latest functionality.
