It’s not every day that a fight breaks out live on-air at radio station but it does happen. It’s rare that it is actually caught on film. Greensboro, NC- WFMY-TV obtained a video of the alleged fight that resulted in the suspension of Jared and Katie in the Morning on 1075 KZL.
Jared and Katie in the Morning is popular morning show that is broadcast in Greensboro, NC 6am -10am. While Jared and Katie are the featured on-air personalities, the show also features Jason Goodman, Matt, and Josie. In the video you will see Jason Goodman, who also serves as the station’s Program Director and Jared Pike competing in a challenge.
The “Baby Bump Challenge” where they are chugging milk from a baby bottle. After Jason wins and he is challenged by everyone else as to how he did it, things get interesting and the fight ensues. While some listeners are calling this a publicity stunt, Jared and Katie in the Morning has been indefinitely suspended.
Vice President of WKZL, Dick Harlow posted the following message via Facebook. On-air Personality, Jared posted this message via the Morning Show Facebook page.
“Just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your texts, phone calls, fb posts, messages, thoughts and prayers. Although I cannot talk about what occurred the other morning I just wanted it to be known that I value my career at 1075 KZL and your support during this stressful time is certainly appreciated!
