Radio One’s Praise 100.9 has promoted Midday Personality Melanie Pratt to Assistant Program Director. Melanie will continue to entertain and inspire her listeners during middays on Praise 100.9 but will now have the opportunity to make programming decisions for Charlotte’s Inspiration Station.Â
Melanie Pratt began her career in radio when she joined the on-air staff at Praise 100.9 in 2006. She is a three-time Stellar Award nominee for Gospel Announcer of the Year. Melanie also serves on the Board of Directors for Inspire the Fire, a program for youth to excel in the arts. She is also an ordained Elder in the Life Center Fellowship where she and her husband, Bryan, serve as Youth and Young Adult Pastors at the Charlotte and Charleston, SC churches.
Jeff “Uzi D” Anderson, Operations Manager for WOSF, WPZS, and WOSF-HD2 states, “Melanie has been eager to grow and learn since the day I met her. She continues to be an amazing talent and has already exhibited the tenacity, passion, and drive to have earned this promotion. I’m looking forward to so much more to come from Mel as she continues to work with the team to grow our Praise 100.9 brand.”
