iHeartMedia reports that its flagship morning program “The Breakfast Club” on WWPR-FM Power 105.1 has delivered the strongest ratings performance in the show’s history in the New York market.
According to January ratings data, the program ranked No. 1 among Adults 18–49 and Adults 25–54, posting double-digit audience shares of 13.9 and 13.1 respectively. The performance represents a high-water mark for the program in the nation’s largest radio market.
A Long-Running Morning Franchise in Urban Radio
“The Breakfast Club” launched in 2010 on Power 105.1 and has remained one of the most recognized morning shows in urban radio. The program is currently hosted by DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious and Charlamagne Tha God.
Over time, the show has expanded well beyond its New York broadcast base through national syndication and digital distribution. The program currently reaches more than 6.6 million listeners across the U.S. through radio and related platforms.
The show was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame, reflecting its influence within contemporary radio and talk programming.
Interviews and Cultural Visibility
“The Breakfast Club” built its reputation around long-form interviews with prominent figures across music, politics, sports and entertainment. Guests have included artists such as JAY-Z, Cardi B and Ed Sheeran, along with public figures including former U.S. president Barack Obama.
In addition to its broadcast presence, the show’s podcast distribution has surpassed one billion downloads. Digital video and social media clips from the program have also become a significant part of its audience reach.

Expansion Beyond Radio
The brand has increasingly operated as a cross-platform media property. Episodes and segments circulate through podcast platforms, YouTube, and social media, with additional streaming exposure through Netflix beginning in 2026, where full video episodes are available to subscribers.
This expansion reflects a broader shift across the radio industry as legacy shows develop parallel audiences through podcasting and video distribution.
A Ratings Milestone in New York
For iHeartMedia, the ratings milestone underscores the continued relevance of a program that began as a local morning show and evolved into a national brand across multiple media formats.
“The Breakfast Club” continues to originate from Power 105.1 in New York and airs weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Eastern. The program is also available through the iHeartRadio platform alongside its syndicated radio distribution and digital content channels.
