BMI is returning to The Basement in Nashville with a new monthly live series called BMI Plug & Play.
The concept is simple and built for efficiency: four emerging, genre-bending acts take the stage and each delivers a four-song set, aimed at an attentive industry crowd.
The series is designed exclusively for BMI creators, giving them a streamlined way to “plug in” and play.
The timing also lines up with a milestone for the venue: The Basement is celebrating its 21st anniversary.
The first BMI Plug & Play night happens Feb. 4, featuring:
Future Crib
Preston James
Joelton Mayfield
Revelry
The series is sponsored by Lone Star Beer and OLÉ.
If the idea feels familiar, that’s intentional. BMI Plug & Play follows the spirit of BMI Buzz at The Basement (2008–2018)—a well-known industry series that helped spotlight early performances from artists such as Russell Dickerson, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, and Caitlyn Smith.
