R&B star, PJ Morton, enters the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart this week with his inspiring song, “All in His Plan” (Morton Inspiration/Tyscot). The track which features the dynamic vocalist Le’Andria Johnson and platinum duo, Mary Mary, bows at No. 29 on the chart for the week ending February 1, 2020. It’s the first offering from Morton’s forthcoming, all-star The Gospel According to PJ set which is tentatively scheduled to release this summer.  https://smarturl.it/btdobs

In the coming months, Morton will reveal the remaining roster of vocalists who will comprise The Gospel According to PJ. “Gospel is where I got my start as a song writer,” Morton says of his decision to launch this project. “It’s my foundation. It’s what keeps me grounded. So, although I work on all types of music, I’ll never forget where I come from.” A ten-time Grammy® nominee, Morton won his first Grammy® Award earlier this year in the category of for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “How Deep Is Your Love” from his critically acclaimed 2018 R&B album, Gumbo Unplugged (Live). His duet with JoJo, “Say So,” is currently No. 10 on the Billboard Adult R&B National Airplay chart.

SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT PARTNERS WITH JONATHAN MASTER FOR NEW JOINT LABEL, SAMEPLATE

Together, Sony Music and Master are launching SamePlate, a new joint venture label focused on cultivating emerging, dynamic music talent using cutting-edge approaches to artist development and services. Master will head the New York-based imprint and oversee a dedicated staff that includes Alex Ciccimarro, who will serve as VP, Operations.
