The NBA released the playoff schedule and there will be day games to fit in 16 teams playing in three bubble arenas. The schedule will be similar to March Madness schedule. The games start on Monday with the Utah Jazz meeting the Denver Nuggets at 1:30 pm EST and the last game will tip off at 9:00 pm EST. The matchups are set except the Los Angeles Lakers will wait to find out their opponent after the play in series, which will happen this weekend. The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Portland Trailblazers for a chance to meet the Lakers in the first round. Adam Silver says he would like for the league to adopt the play in series permanently.After much speculation and hand wringing by fans, the Chicago Bulls have fired Jim Boylen. Bulls Vice President of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas said that it is time for the franchise to take that next step and a fresh approach and evolution in leadership is necessary. A hot name to consider is the Philadelphia 76ers’assee e istant coach Ime Udoka and another name to watch is Toronto’sassee e istant coach, Adrian Griffin.The Los Angeles Clippers may get some help with the return of Sixth Man of the Year finalist, Montrezl Harrell who will clear quarantine. Harrell had been away from the team to be with his sick grandmother who later passed away. Coach Doc Rivers isn’t convinced that he will be available as soon as the playoffs start, but when he is available, he will give the bench an offensive boost.The Phoenix Suns finished the restart undefeated, but they were eliminated from the playoffs. Devin Booker shined during the 8-game win streak. The Suns Twitter account was also a star during the restart. Although the Suns were eliminated, they provided their fans hope for the future especially with Devin Booker leading them.The Houston Rocket’s Russell Westbrook will miss at least the start of the first-round playoff series due to a strained right quad muscle. The team will definitely miss his 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7assee e ists per game. They face Chris Paul and the OKC Thunder; there will be a lot of pressure on James Harden to carry the team while waiting for Westbrook to return.
