Steve Newberry will continue as CEO of Quu Inc. under a newly signed three-year agreement. Since joining the company in 2020, Newberry has played a pivotal role in expanding its influence, with more than 2,000 radio stations currently utilizing Quu’s patented technology to showcase real-time music, content, and advertisements on vehicle dashboards. This innovation, known as “Visual Quus,” has enhanced radio’s visibility on digital screens, offering a memorable presence for both listeners and advertisers.

Newberry was also instrumental in launching the Quu Visual Network (QuuVN), a platform that provides national brands with a unique opportunity to engage local audiences through visual radio ads. His commitment to research has been evident, initiating annual In-Vehicle Visual Reports and a case study on QuuVN, which revealed that on-screen radio ads could increase purchase intent by 89%.
Under his leadership, Quu is expanding its visual radio technology beyond dashboard screens. Future plans include incorporating it into digital audio, streaming, and other emerging platforms, ensuring radio remains relevant across all listening mediums.
Reflecting on his tenure, Newberry expressed his excitement for Quu’s future, emphasizing the company’s focus on developing new products to boost ratings and revenue in broadcast, digital, and upcoming platforms. His passion for the radio industry is clear, with a career that includes becoming a station owner at the age of 21 and serving as the Joint Board Chair and Executive Vice President at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). Newberry has also been recognized with the NAB National Radio Award and founded Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation, which operates several radio stations in Kentucky.
