Sony Music Publishing UK (SMP UK), in partnership with JV partner Second Songs, announced a new global publishing agreement with legendary songwriter Bastian Langebaek, which includes future works written by the hitmaker.
A platinum-certified songwriter based in Copenhagen, Langebaek has become one of the most prominent writers and producers in recent years, led by his long-term creative partnership with GRAMMYs Best New Artist winner Olivia Dean, which includes six co-writes across her most-recent album, the UK #1 Platinum record ‘The Art of Loving,’ including “Let Alone The One You Love” and “Baby Steps,” for which Langebaek has received an Ivor Novello Best Album nomination. Having worked with Olivia Dean since her first single “Reason to Stay,” Langebaek has become a trusted partner of the global superstar, working across her first hits “Dive,” “Hardest Part” featuring Leon Bridges, and more.
A versatile creative, Langebaek has written across a multitude of musical genres, with other key credits including songs with Anderson.Paak, AURORA, Jessie Ware, Jess Glynne, Nilufer Yanya, Anna Of The North and more.
