Sony Music Publishing Expands Roster with BigXthaPlug Deal

Sony Music Publishing Signs BigXthaPlug to Global Deal

Sony Music Publishing has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with BigXthaPlug, the Dallas-born artist whose career has accelerated across rap, hip-hop, and country.

BigXthaPlug, born Xavier Landum, has released projects including Amar (2023) and Take Care (2024). His catalog includes several certified singles: “Texas” (2× platinum), “Mmhmm” (3× platinum), “Levels” (2× platinum), and “The Largest” (platinum). His 2025 album I Hope You’re Happy reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country and Top Rap Album charts and No. 7 on the Billboard 200. The album features collaborations with Luke Combs, Ella Langley, Thomas Rhett, Jelly Roll, and Shaboozey.

The single “All The Way,” featuring Bailey Zimmerman, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first song to reach No. 1 on both Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs and Country Songs charts at the same time. On November 21, he released a new single, “Cold,” featuring Post Malone, alongside the deluxe edition of I Hope You’re Happy.

BigXthaPlug has toured the U.S. and Canada in support of Take Care and has appeared at festivals including Rolling Loud, Dreamville Fest, Wireless Festival, Openair Festival, Slottsfjell Festival, and Lollapalooza Berlin.

He has received recognition from Billboard, Variety, XXL, iHeartRadio, BET, BMI, and Amazon Music for his impact across genres and his rapid rise in the industry.
