In the clip, Pheelz sits at the piano, serenading his significant other and locking into her gaze. He assures, “You know I put nothing above you,” as the visual intercuts various moments of their relationship. It jumps from scenes on the couch and dinner to an impressively choreographed vignette. It’s the perfect soundtrack for Valentine’s Day!
Upon its arrival, Pheelz Good debuted #1 on Apple’s Afrobeats Album chart. Tracks from the EP have already amassed over 150 million streams and counting. Earning acclaim right out of the gate, OkayPlayer proclaimed, “The EP, which is first release for 2023, showcases his versatility, and attention to sonic detail.” GRUNGECAKE noted, “the new songs are as good and even display a commercial R&B side (‘Pheelz Like Summer’) to the Lagos-born creator.”
Pheelz Good is a celebration of the rising stars Nigerian roots and a summation of his current musical sensibilities. The multi-facet artist even created the digital characters, NFTs, and artwork associated with the project. Pheelz was recently named “Artist To Watch” in 2023 by Pandora and Amazon music.
After “Finesse” established Pheelz as an international star on the rise in 2022, he built on the momentum with a dazzling set at Essence Fest’s Afrobeats After Dark party in New Orleans and made his US television debut with a performance on NBC’s Late Show with Seth Meyers.
