Let The Kids Grow Foundation to Honor Tyler Perry and Others

 width=Let The Kids Grow (LTKG) Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to address the problems of the city’s underserved and at-risk children through a program focusing on out-of-school activities and family strengthening will honor award-winning actor, director, producer Tyler Perry; Los Angeles Laker Dwight Howard; Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and actor Usher; Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actress Kirstie Alley; rapper, actoR&Businessman Romeo Miller; television personality, actor and rapper Nick Cannon; KPWR’s Big Boy, Dr. Ralph Mayer and Dr. Shahrad Rahban at the first annual Let The Kids Grow Holiday Gala, Saturday, December 1 in Beverly Hills. Hosted by LTKG Founder, entrepreneur and media-mogul Percy “Master P” Miller and Simin Hashemizadeh, noted philanthropist and owner of South Pacific Surgery Centers, the star-studded, black-tie evening will feature world-class entertainment, silent auction, dinner and dancing.”The LTKG organization promotes healthy relationships, and provides underserved youth valuable life experiences through activities including performing arts, film, and photography,” said Miller. “Our mission is to strengthen families through education and togetherness.”Let The Kids Grow Foundation’s mission is to develop youth and their families through out-of-school time and family strengthening programs in their communities. Founder Percy Miller has discovered a way to keep inner-city youth off the streets, away from drugs and gang violence by providing a safe haven to express themselves with positive energy, through music, film and dance. LTKG offers afterschool and summer programs for children ages 4 to 18 with access to academic support, performing arts, nutrition programs and guidance counseling. A highlight of the Foundation is the Backpack program. Backpacks are filled with food and school supplies and distributed to children taking part in the Let the Kids Grown Foundation. Let The Kids Grow programs give youth and their families the tools they need to break negative cycles and the opportunity to follow their dreams and become positive, confident, contributing members of the community.
