Jodie Turner-Smith Joins Showtimes The Agency for Paramount+

Paramount+ with SHOWTIME today announced that Jodie Turner-Smith joins the cast of the espionage political thriller THE AGENCY (formerly THE DEPARTMENT) for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME as a series regular. THE AGENCY, currently in production in London, is commissioned by Showtime Studios and produced in association with 101 Studios. George Clooney and Grant Heslov will executive produce through Smokehouse Pictures.

The all-new political thriller follows Martian (two-time Academy Award nominee Fassbender), a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites.

His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage. Turner-Smith will play Sami Zahir, a Professor of Social Anthropology who has a history with Martian, played by 2x Academy Award��nominee Michael Fassbender. She joins previously announced series regulars Jeffrey Wright (Henry) and Richard Gere (Bosko).

British actress Jodie Turner-Smith stands out as one of today�s most sought-after talents. She gained widespread recognition for her captivating performance in Universal�s�Queen & Slim, earning critical acclaim for her breakout role.

Most recently, Turner-Smith starred in Noah Baumbach�s acclaimed�White Noise�(Netflix),�Murder Mystery 2�(Netflix), the final season of�Sex�Education�(Netflix), and the�Star Wars�series�The Acolyte�(Disney+). Upcoming projects include a starring role in�Bad Monkey�(Apple TV+) and Disney Marvel�s�Tron: Ares, slated for release in 2025.

A fresh take on the critically acclaimed hit French drama �The Bureau� (Le Bureau des Legendes),�THE AGENCYwill debut on demand and streaming for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME��plan before its on-air debut.

It will stream internationally on Paramount+ in the UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, Germany, Latin America, Brazil and Japan. The series is co-distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution and Federation Studios.

The Bureau�centers on the daily life and missions of agents within France’s principal external security service. It focuses on the “Bureau of Legends,” responsible for training and handling deep-cover agents on long-term missions in areas with French interests.
