The Isle Of Wight Festival is days away, and the weather forecast is now part of the story for everyone watching the festival’s biggest weekend plays. For publishers, songwriters and rights holders, the key takeaway is simple: the event at Seaclose Park is set up for a full run of headline sets, with the latest forecast pointing to mostly sunny conditions across the four-day stretch.
Seaclose Park gets a weekend of headline sets
The 2026 edition of the Isle Of Wight Festival returns to Seaclose Park from Thursday to Sunday this week, running from June 18 to 21. The top of the bill includes The Cure, Lewis Capaldi and Calvin Harris.
Last September, the line-up also included Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, The Last Dinner Party, Wet Leg, Teddy Swims, Tom Grennan, The Kooks, Feeder, Rick Astley, David Gray, Five, KT Tunstall, Shed Seven, Starsailor, Suzanne Vega, Anastacia and Luvcat. At the start of this year, the festival added Two Door Cinema Club, Rose Gray, The K’s, Perrie, The Twilight Sad, Ash, Joel Corry, Good Neighbours, Alessi Rose, Chloe Qisha and Maxïmo Park.
The forecast points to sun, breezes and little heavy rain
The BBC’s latest forecast, updated at 19:00 on June 15, predicts sunny intervals and a mild breeze for the weekend, with minimal chance of heavy rain.
Thursday June 18 is expected to bring sunny intervals and light winds, with the only likelihood of rain starting at 1am on Friday morning. Temperatures are forecast to range from 14 to 20°C.
Friday June 19 is set for sunny intervals and a moderate breeze, with low chances of rain in the early morning. Temperatures are forecast at 14 to 21°C.
Saturday June 20 is expected to be the clearest day of the weekend, with sunny intervals, a gentle breeze and no rain predicted at any point. Temperatures are forecast from 15 to 21°C.
Sunday June 21 is also due to stay mild, with sunny intervals and a gentle breeze, plus a low chance of showers in the evening hours. Temperatures are forecast from 15 to 22°C.
Caroline Giddings says the bill may be the festival’s strongest yet
Festival director Caroline Giddings said the 2026 line-up may be the festival’s best yet, adding that she is proud to place future stars alongside artists such as The Cure and the Sex Pistols. She also said the festival has always been an extension of the Isle of Wight’s cultural history and aims to honour that by presenting the best music on offer.
The 2025 Isle Of Wight Festival was topped by Justin Timberlake, Sting and Stereophonics, with Razorlight, English Teacher, Yard Act, Midge Ure, Pale Waves, Twin Atlantic, Alessi Rose, Amble and Nieve Ella also on the bill.
What to watch next: the main thing to track now is whether the BBC forecast holds through the festival’s Thursday-to-Sunday run, especially with Sunday evening showing the only notable shower risk.
