Hip-hop legend DJ KOOL HERC’s friends are urging fans to help with funds to help the ailing star pay for surgery. The Jamaican-born rap pioneer has an undisclosed illness and needs surgery but has no health insurance to pay for the procedure.DJ Tony Touch writes, “I just spoke to Kool Herc. He’s ok and in good spirits… but needs surgery… This Tuesday… We’re gonna do a collection for him.” Other friends like DJ Premier state, “Herc is very sick.
