iHeartMedia Chicago’s Inspiration 1390, Music of Power and Praise, announced today “Praise In Place,” a virtual concert and celebration featuring gospel artists Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Jekalyn Carr, Melvin Crispell III, LeNasia Tyson and Selah Youth Choir of Saint Sabina. The event will livestream on the station’s Facebook page on Friday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m.
“Praise In Place” will be hosted by Inspiration 1390’s on-air personalities Sonya Blakey, Marcella Jones, Willie Moore Jr. and DeAndre Patterson. The station will also honor local nonprofits and community and faith leaders who have provided much-needed services to the Chicagoland community during the COVID-19 pandemic and social unrest. The honorees include I Am A Gentleman, Inc., Black Girls Break Bread, Pastor Reginald Sharpe Jr. and Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, and legendary fashion designer and philanthropist Barbara Bates.
