VH1 Soul to World Premier “Got Til It’s Gone” music video featuring Marsha Ambrosius today

Hidden Beach artist “Mr. Trombone” Jeff Bradshaw kicks off a multi-tiered awareness campaign today for the New Orleans Musician’s Relief Fund.   VH1 Soul gives a big boost to his efforts with the World Premier of his music video for “Got Til It’s Gone” featuring 2x Grammy nominee Marsha Ambrosius and rapper TWyse. The cable channel will air the video hourly for 24 Hours on Monday March 26th bringing visibility to New Orleans at a time when many have assumed the city is back on its feet. The New Orleans Musician’s Relief Fund provides grants to musicians displaced by Hurricane Katrina while sustaining the musical legacy of the city by providing musical instruments to school Children who show promise.   Music fans are encouraged to donate at www.NOMRF.org

“Got Til It’s Gone” appears on Jeff Bradshaw’s sophomore album Bone Appétit (April 24, 2012) . Bradshaw’s version of the Janet Jackson hit features special guests Marsha Ambrosius and Christian rapper TWyse who help to transform the song into a tribute to the spirit of the people of New Orleans. “I was always a fan of the Janet song, and I wanted to record it because it spoke to what was happening down there” says Jeff. “I wanted to remind everyone that there is still work to be done in New Orleans. People think some years have gone by and everything is cool. But, “˜no, things are not cool!’ They are a long way from being back to normal.”

The New Orleans Musician’s Relief Fund is currently conducting an instrument drive for elementary school children which will conclude at the end of the school year. Jeff Beninato, Chairman of NOMRF shared   “The New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund is proud to be associated with Jeff Bradshaw’s “Got Til It’s Gone.” We lost musical friends and family who can never be replaced. It means a great deal that Bradshaw’s awareness efforts will help get instruments in the hands of young New Orleans musicians, to help plant the seeds that will keep our traditions growing for years to come.”

The video for “Got Til It’s Gone” was filmed partially on location in the Musician’s Village and the Lower Ninth Ward last fall. Marsha Ambrosius has described the on-location experience as “very emotional.” As the video depicts the portion of the levy that was first breeched during Hurricane Katrina, and the rows of abandoned homes churches and schools the spirit of the people is depicted by the colorful “˜second line parade” and the good-time spirit of Bourbon Street.

Bone Appétit, includes “Got Til It’s Gone feat. Marsha Abrosius & TWyse”  and is in-stores on April 24, 2012.
