DJ Sal (Mixer / On-Air Personality)

DJ SAL is well rounded when it comes to turntablism and the art of being a DJ. Spending a good part of the early 90’s in Norfolk, VA he started working daily on the art and craft of scratching and mixing. It became an everyday thing for him, and he was not settling for anything less than perfection. Sal grew up listening to all genres of music, which has helped made him very knowledgeable will all music types. Listening and watching DJs, like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Q-Bert, Kid Capri, and DJ Craze inspired him to become the DJ he is today. Read more: Radio Facts Legacy 30th Anniversary Issue.

In the late 90’s Sal made the switch from amateur DJ, to professional DJ. Over the years he has mixed on several radio stations including 103 Jamz (WOWI-FM – Norfolk, VA), Hot 102.1 (WWHV-FMVirginia Beach, VA) Hot 97.9 (WHTUFM – Meridian, MS), 99.5 Jamz (WYTTFM – Emporia, VA) and has made several appearances on nationally syndicated ‘Michael Baisden Show

Currently DJ Sal can be heard every Friday night from 10p.m. /est. – 12 Mid /est. – as he host’s and mixes on 99.5 Jamz (WYTTFM). You can also catch him spinning at various clubs throughout Northeastern NC & Southside Virginia.
