Random Pics of Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles Taken Yesterday

A Day off at the Beach

In 10th grade, I talked Debbie, our teacher's aide into bringing my drama class to Los Angeles. We were the first to graduate from the Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts. It was a long shot and I was having fun with the idea but to my surprise, a few months later, she made it happen. It was the trip of a lifetime for me and I knew then I would end up moving here when I got older. After many years paying dues in various markets as a DJ on the air, I knew that when I got to LA radio was over HERE.  It's a LONG stretch from the gray, slushy, overcast winters where I grew up in Buffalo, N.Y. I hear the school still takes trips to this day and they have been all over the world including Paris, France some 30 years later. Here's to asking for what you want. You just might get it. For all the things that people say about LA being phony, plastic and materialistic, I've been to other places that are much worse. Sure LA has its cast of characters like every other city in the US. A well-known singer once told me, the best way to survive in LA is to find a small group of great people and do everything with them. He was right on point. I LOVE LA and took these pics while taking a break from work and a 3 mile walk with friend at the Santa Monica Pier yesterday.
