 class=

Audacy has elevated Tim Wenger to Senior Vice President and Market Manager of its Buffalo market. In this role, Wenger will oversee the market’s portfolio of stations, which includes 107.7 & 104.7 The Wolf (WLKK-FM), Classic R&B 107.3 FM (WWS-AM), Kiss 98.5 (WKSE-FM), The Bet Buffalo (WWKB-AM), WBEN (WBEN-AM) and WGR 550 (WGR-AM). He succeeds Tim Holly, who recently announced his retirement.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce the promotion of Tim Wenger to Senior Vice President and Market Manager of Audacy Buffalo,” said Mark Hannon, Regional President, Audacy. “Tim has been a leading presence in our building for nearly 40 years, and it seems only fitting that he now takes over the reins of the market. He has intimate knowledge of our local brands, and I can think of no one better to pick up the mantle from Tim Holly and lead us into the future.”

“As a lifelong Buffalonian, it’s surreal to be assuming the leadership role for Audacy Buffalo’s group of stations,” said Wenger. “The unique content and personalities on the brands, combined with strong client and sports play-by-play partnerships, positions Audacy for growth and success in Buffalo.”

Wenger launched his radio career as a news reporter and anchor with WBEN in 1986. After being named News Director in the mid-90s, Wenger was elevated to WBEN Program Director in 1998, followed by Operations Manager for WBEN, WGR 550 and WWKB in 2000. He currently serves as Brand Manager for WBEN, Operations Manager for WBEN, WGR 550 and The Bet Buffalo, and News/Talk Format Vice President for Audacy. Wenger is a recent inductee into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
