Amy Mackie’s appointment as Managing Director, Ticketing at Ticketek Entertainment Group is a direct signal that ticketing control is becoming a bigger strategic asset for live entertainment companies. For publishers, rights holders and the broader music business, TEG is clearly putting leadership behind the systems that connect technology, operations and venue sales across multiple markets.
TEG elevates a ticketing executive with deep company history
TEG announced on Sunday, June 14, that Mackie has been appointed Managing Director, Ticketing at the Silver Lake-backed company.[1] She will oversee ticketing strategy and operations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the UK, and will work closely with the General Managers for ticketing and memberships in each region.[1]
Mackie joins TEG’s Executive Committee and reports directly to Cameron Hoy, who was promoted to Group CEO.[1] Hoy said he was “delighted” to announce the appointment and said Mackie brings more than 17 years of experience in the business across product, technology, marketing and operations.[1]
Asia remains a priority as TEG reshapes its leadership
Mackie’s appointment follows the hiring of Melvin Koh as General Manager, Ticketing Asia at TEG’s Ticketek on June 1.[1] Based in Singapore, Koh leads Ticketek’s operations, strategic partnerships and platform growth across the region as TEG expands its presence in Asia.[1]
The leadership changes come as competition in the region has been building, with AEG-owned AXS agreeing to take a majority stake in Singapore-based ticketing platform SISTIC in October 2025, expanding its presence in Singapore and wider Southeast Asia.[1]
Hoy’s promotion leaves ticketing in experienced hands
Hoy took over as Group CEO on June 1, succeeding Brad Banducci, who stepped down after just over a year.[1] Before becoming CEO, Hoy led TEG’s global ticketing operations and had served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Ticketing since December 2023, after joining Ticketek Australia in 2007 and rising to Managing Director of the ticketing business in 2015.[1]
Before joining TEG, Hoy worked in technology, e-commerce, media and entertainment in Australia, including stints at News Corp Australia and Nine Entertainment.[1]
What TEG says this appointment is meant to deliver
TEG said the appointment strengthens its leadership team and reinforces its commitment to delivering ticketing services to its partners.[1] The company says it is one of Asia Pacific’s largest live entertainment and ticketing companies, selling over 30 million tickets a year for more than 300 venues across 15 countries.[1]
The group also promotes concerts, sporting events and festivals through divisions including TEG Live and TEG Dainty.[1] Ticketek operates across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Asia.[1]
What to watch next: how Mackie’s leadership shapes TEG’s ticketing strategy across its core markets, and how the company continues to build out its Asia presence after the appointment of Melvin Koh.[1]
