Kenya Barris on ‘You People’ Directorial Debut; ‘I felt like a substitute teacher’

Friday on “The Talk” Kenya Barris reflects on “Black-ish”, shares details about his new film, “You People” and how Eddie Murphy’s character is named “Akbar”. Barris also discusses his directorial debut with stars like Murphy, Nia Long and Jonah Hill.  “It felt like being at the cool kids table. I told them I felt like a substitute teacher…but they understood where I was coming from and they really were like, ‘we’re really going to make sure you win’ and appreciate that love.”

Kevin Malejandro celebrates his CBS series “Fire Country” being renewed for a second season. “We owe it all to our amazing crew.” He also dishes on why his scenes can be physically exhausting, a possible love interest and more. “We have the best, hardest working men and women putting together our show…we are in the trenches together.”
