Russ Martin Returns to The Eagle for Mornings

 width=

Russ Martin stated he would never do mornings again or work for Clear Channel Radio after leaving The Eagle KEGL-FM a decade ago. He has obviously changed his mind and begins his morning drive shift again starting July 12. Martin, who had been one of the most popular radio personalities in Dallas-Fort Worth during his tenure at KLLI-FM (105.3), says the new show will air from 6 to 10 a.m. weekdays on Clear Channel-owned KEGL and will have the same rowdy “boys in the clubhouse” feel his show did on 105.3 FM. Although The Eagle is a hard-rock music station, Martin says his show will be all talk.

Martin stated he wanted to do mornings again and the GM at the Eagle, J.D. Freeman is the same GM that was at the station when he worked there before. He claims other upper management at the station was his reason for leaving the last time.
