Stingray Launches Music Channels on Amazon Prime Video for Free Access

Stingray Expands Music Offerings on Prime Video

Stingray, the Canadian music powerhouse, has announced a new partnership with Amazon that will introduce several of its music channels on Prime Video, now available at no cost to users in the United States. This move follows Stingray’s recent acquisition of the streaming audio platform TuneIn and aims to enhance the music content accessible through the free linear TV section of the Prime Video app.

Beginning this week, viewers can enjoy five distinct music channels curated by Stingray, designed to cater to various moods and preferences. Rick Bergan, Stingray’s Head of Content Distribution for the U.S., expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We are thrilled to bring our expertly curated music channels to a wider audience. This allows us to deliver high-quality, mood-lifting music experiences directly to listeners living rooms. Whether they want to relax, reminisce, or discover new artists, these five distinct channels offer something for everyone, enhancing their entertainment options.”

This collaboration with Amazon builds on a previous relationship established in August, when Stingray’s music streams were made available on the Fire TV Channels platform. The availability of these channels is not limited to Prime Video for Fire TV devices; they can also be accessed through the Prime Video app on various platforms, including Roku, Android TV, Apple TV, and smart TVs from manufacturers like Samsung, LG, and Vizio.

In addition to Prime Video, Stingray’s channels are accessible through other free ad-supported streaming TV services, including LG Channels and Plex. This strategic expansion reflects the growing trend of integrating music streaming services into broader entertainment platforms, allowing audiences to enjoy diverse content without additional subscription fees.
