Jazz Expands Streaming with Innovative Model

Oh! Jazz, a new streaming platform focused on jazz music, has emerged as a significant player in the genre, offering a unique business model and a fresh approach to the distribution of jazz performances. Rather than competing directly with larger streaming services, Oh! Jazz aims to create a niche by focusing on live performances from lesser-known artists and venues around the world.

The platform features an average of 10 new shows each month, produced in collaboration with prominent jazz clubs globally. Its partnership with Dolby Atmos ensures high-quality audio for its offerings, which include a blend of traditional and contemporary jazz styles. This strategic positioning allows Oh! Jazz to cater to both dedicated jazz aficionados and new listeners seeking innovative sounds.

In addition to its streaming services, Oh! Jazz is committed to supporting the artists involved in its productions. The platform allocates 25 percent of its gross revenue directly to musicians and 10 percent to the clubs that host performances. This revenue-sharing model underscores the company’s dedication to fostering a sustainable environment for jazz musicians, particularly in a market where traditional revenue streams can be challenging.

Further expanding its reach, Oh! Jazz launched its record label in 2025, beginning with Cuban pianist Caramelo de Cuba, who blends traditional flamenco and Afro-Cuban influences in his music. This initiative not only diversifies the platform’s offerings but also reinforces its commitment to nurturing talent within the jazz community.
