Nano Banana Pro: Gemini 3 Pro AI Image Generation

A new generative AI tool called Nano Banana Pro has launched, enabling users to edit and create high-quality images in 4K resolution and across a range of aspect ratios. Introduced on November 20, the upgrade is integrated with Gemini 3 Pro, Google’s latest AI model designed for sophisticated reasoning and real-world knowledge application.

Nano Banana Pro builds on the original Nano Banana, which was first released in August 2025 and quickly went viral, attracting millions of new users and generating hundreds of millions of images in its initial days. The enhanced version now supports complex photo editing, allowing users to select, refine, and transform details with granular control, including localized editing without the need for advanced software.

The tool is accessible via the Gemini app under the “create images” option, offering features such as multilingual content creation and translation, flexible typography, custom textures, and improved creative controls. Users can turn sketches or handwritten notes into professional diagrams, infographics, posters, comics, and recipes, showcasing new opportunities for prototyping and digital art.

Nano Banana Pro provides limited free usage quotas for standard users, while subscribers to Google’s AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans receive higher limits and access across various Google services, including AI Mode in Search and NotebookLM. Free-tier accounts generate images marked with a watermark.

This launch reflects Google’s ongoing commitment to expanding creative AI tools for a global user base, as demand for accessible, advanced image-generation technology continues to grow in both personal and professional settings.
