Kodak Black is taking the future of fandom to the next level with the launch of $YAK Coin, his very own Artist Coin, in collaboration with Audius, a leading music discovery platform.

Kodak Black Makes Music Ownership Possible with $YAK Coin

Fans who own $YAK will gain exclusive access to Kodak’s unreleased music, track stems, and behind-the-scenes content. The rapper, known for his innovative approach to hip hop, is offering these perks regularly to loyal fans.

The name “YAK,” which stands for “You Already Know,” is a nod to Kodak’s popular nickname. The project is part of a broader effort to give fans more control over their connection with artists, placing the power of ownership in their hands.

Kodak Black will kick off the launch at his annual Kodak Day celebration on 11/11 at the Golden Acres housing project in Pompano Beach, FL, where he grew up. Fans at the event will receive $YAK coins and be able to unlock a special unreleased track on Audius.

The $YAK Coin was developed by Audius and Kodak’s creative team, led by his manager, Killshot. Killshot emphasized that the future of music is all about ownership, with $YAK providing fans with a unique way to participate in the artist’s world.

Roneil Rumburg, Co-Founder and CEO of Audius, spoke about Kodak’s pioneering spirit in hip hop and how it’s now shaping how fans experience music.

Audius, which is the largest decentralized music community, has made it easy for artists to create their own Artist Coin based on the Solana blockchain.

With $YAK, fans can unlock exclusive content, private Discord channels, and even communicate directly with Kodak Black. This new initiative is part of Audius’s ongoing effort to deepen artist-fan connections and create new revenue streams for creators.
