Music Joint Venture: Ty Dolla $ign & EZMNY Records

Create Music Group, a leading global independent music and entertainment company, has officially announced a joint venture with Ty Dolla $ign and his label, EZMNY Records. This partnership marks a new phase in the ongoing collaboration between Ty and music industry veteran Shawn Barron, co-founder of EZMNY and the executive who first signed Ty to Atlantic Records in 2012.

Since launching EZMNY Records, Ty and Barron have demonstrated a keen eye for talent, notably signing breakout artist Leon Thomas (EZMNY/Motown Records). Thomas’ hit single “Mutt” continues its climb up the charts, showcasing the label’s growing impact in identifying and nurturing next-generation talent. EZMNY’s roster also includes rising artists Bizzy Crook, rjtheweirdo, Saige Michael, and Keith Turner.

Founded in 2015, Create Music Group has emerged as a major force in the music industry, representing a wide and diverse roster of prominent Hip Hop and R&B artists. The company has worked with Ye & Ty Dolla $ign, DeeBaby, Keri Hilson, DDG, Blxst, Bino Rideaux, Rich The Kid, Tink, Erica Banks, Travis Porter, Jaylen Brown, Miles Bridges, October London, Calboy, ALLBLACK, and many others.

“This partnership with Create was the natural next step,” said Helen Yu, Head of Business Affairs and General Counsel for EZMNY. “Both companies have built strong track records, and this deal is about combining that success to create something even bigger.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Create Music Group’s recent $165 million investment round led by private equity firm Flexpoint Ford, which valued the company at over $1 billion.
