SESAC Promotes New Associate Director for Latino Division

epSam Kling, Senior Vice President of Creative Operations of SESAC, announced today the promotion of Eliezer Ponce to the position of Associate Director of the company’s Latina division. Ponce will represent Pop, Urban and Tropical genres and will report directly to Celeste Zendejas, sesac Latina’s Director.

“I am pleased to announce Eliezer’s promotion to associate director,” Kling said. “During his seven years with SESAC, Eliezer has brought passion and creativity to his various roles, from nurturing creative talent to tirelessly advocating for sesac affiliates to maximize the value of their copyrights. Eliezer has an extensive knowledge of the performing rights industry and is a valuable member of our Creative Services team. I look forward to his continued contributions to our Latina division.”

Ponce joined sesac in 2009 in Nashville after relocating to the United States from his native Puerto Rico, where he had worked in television and music production. While at SESAC, he has held a number of positions, including Licensing Representative, Coordinator of Writer and Publisher Relations for sesac Latina and Coordinator of Writer and Publisher Relations for SESAC’s Film and TV Division. Ponce transferred to the company’s Los Angeles office in 2010, where he is currently based.

Ponce has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration from the Inter-American University in Puerto Rico and a bachelor’s degree in music business from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
