The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has announced the 10th annual ascap “I Create Music” EXPO will be held April 30th through May 2nd, 2015, at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. ASCAP’s signature three-day event is the premier conference for songwriters, composers and producers in all genres of music, and will once again feature creative and business-focused panels, workshops, master classes, keynotes, one-on-one sessions, networking events, state-of-the-art technology demonstrations, performances and more.All music creators, publishers and music industry personnel can benefit from this one-of-a-kind creative event, which is designed around personal interaction, education and networking. Highlights from the conference included master sessions from Akon and Amy Grant; a keynote session with Dr. Luke and his staff at Prescription Songs; a legislative panel that included ascap President and Chairman Paul Williams, U.S. Representative Judy Chu and U.S. Congressman Tom Marino; a closing panel featuring an in-depth interview with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis; and performances from Ray Parker, Jr., Glen Phillips, Richie Sambora, Beth Orton and hit songwriters Desmond Child, Julie Frost and Shane McAnally.Since 2005, the ascap EXPO has brought together some of the music industry’s biggest stars, most talented songwriters and successful music industry players.
