WBLS INTRODUCES “CIROC SATURDAYS” WITH DJ CHUCK CHILLOUT
February 9, 2015 (New York, NY) – WBLS 107.5 FM, your #1 source for R&B, is paving the way for innovative radio programming. Recently, the premier R&B radio station introduced “Ciroc Saturdays” with DJ Chuck Chillout into their line-up from 11 p.m. to 12 midnight every Saturday night. “Ciroc Saturdays” focuses on providing listeners with a mix of their favorite R&B and classic Hip-Hop hits.
“I used to spin Chuck’s single ‘Rock the House’ at teen parties during my high school years,” states Skip Dillard (WBLS and WLIB), Program Director of WBLS. “It’s a blessing to work with him in 2015! I don’t think any of us at the time could have dreamed of the billion dollar industry Chuck and his crew of forward-thinking innovators created.”
“It feels great to increase my role here at WBLS with my own show,” adds DJ Chuck Chillout. “This is an opportunity whereby I can provide listeners with a great experience during the ultimate Saturday night old school Hip-Hop and R&B show, the Ciroc hour! I am humbled and look forward to further expanding the WBLS brand.”
Chuck Chillout began his illustrious career on 98.7 Kiss FM in 1982, and never looked back, becoming well-known beyond just the radio scene. He has toured with Public Enemy to sold out performances, spun at high-profile venues, and serves on the board of the Universal Hip-Hop Museum. As one of the pioneer DJs in Hip-Hop and R&B, Chuck Chillout has introduced the world to some of the biggest hits from icons such as Run DMC, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Salt-N-Pepa and Slick Rick, while remaining a mainstay in the industry with many accolades to his credit. He continues to expand his brand through online and social media platforms, including his website www.djchuckchillout.com, and his accounts across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
