Rising country music artist Scout Speer has just signed a worldwide publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville, in collaboration with country music hitmaker Dan Isbell.
This marks a major milestone in Scout’s rapidly growing career, which has been defined by her unique blend of modern country and vivid storytelling influenced by her Tennessee roots.
Scout’s singles “Strangers,” “Against Me,” and “That’d Be Crazy” have gained significant attention, helping her build a dedicated fan base. With over 5 million streams and a self-titled EP under her belt, she’s quickly becoming one of Nashville’s most promising new voices.
In addition to her music, Scout has sold out two shows in Nashville and made a festival appearance. Fans can expect even more from her, with a full-length album slated for release later in 2026.
Scout shared her excitement about the new partnership, saying, “I’m incredibly grateful to be partnering with Sony Music Publishing and Dan Isbell as I take this next step in my career. It’s an honor to work with people who believe so deeply in my music and my future as a writer.”
Dan Isbell, who will work closely with Scout, expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with her: “I’m thrilled to work with Scout. She’s a killer vocalist with a sound that balances heartfelt melancholy and an upbeat spirit that really comes alive on stage.”
Tom Luteran, VP of Creative A&R at Sony Music Publishing Nashville, praised Scout’s natural storytelling ability and unique voice, noting, “When Dan introduced me to Scout, I immediately saw what he did—an unmistakable voice and a natural storytelling ability that captures audiences.”
Scout’s discipline, which stems from her collegiate soccer background, also stood out. Luteran added, “She has a team-first mindset and a clear understanding of what it takes to succeed, and we’re proud to partner with Dan to support her career.”
