The award-winning show, known for its heartwarming and humorous approach to family dynamics, will kick off its second season on October 28.

The season will feature Nwodim’s signature candid conversations with a broader range of guests, including Tamron Hall, Miguel, and Heidi Gardner. Fans can now listen to the new Thanks Dad trailer ahead of the season’s launch.

In each episode, Nwodim invites a special guest to explore personal stories, family relationships, and the intricacies of identity. The first season of Thanks Dad was a hit, earning an Ambie Award for Best Interview Podcast in 2025, and featured major names such as Andy Cohen, Randall Park, Kyle Mooney, and Bill Burr.

“I’m beyond excited to partner with iHeartPodcasts, Will Ferrell, and Big Money Players for season two,” Nwodim shared. “While this season brings in new perspectives, we’re staying true to what Thanks Dad is all about—connecting, inspiring, and, of course, bringing some joy to our listeners.”

In addition to her podcasting success, Nwodim is making her Off-Broadway debut with a one-woman comedy show at Lincoln Center, as part of The Comedy Series. She’s also wrapped production on Netflix’s Little Brother, a comedy starring John Cena and Eric Andre.

Nwodim, known for her groundbreaking sketches on Saturday Night Live, has earned recognition from Variety in their New York Women’s Impact Report and NAACP nominations for her contributions to comedy and television.

Thanks Dad will be available for new weekly episodes on Tuesdays, on the iHeartRadio app and all podcast platforms. Video episodes will also be available on the show’s YouTube Channel.
